The National Weather Service forecasts “Partly sunny, with a high near 60″ for Saturday, March 16, 2013. Perfect weather for the 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
We continue to accept parade entries. The parade will begin at 2nd and Dewey in the NebraskaLand National Bank parking lot. The Parade route is from 2nd street North on Dewey through Downtown to 6th street. There is no entry fee to march in the parade. We ask that you complete the entry form to help us organize the parade. We know how important it is to separate the horses from the motor cycles. 
The Irregulars will perform at the Espresso Shoppe following the parade. We hope you will join us for some great Irish music and some great coffee. We have it on notable authority that the Espresso Shoppe is gearing up for an Irish celebration. This is going to be a not to be missed party!

Four members of the Irregulars gathered for coffee and Christmas music at the Espresso Shoppe on Tuesday morning. Several patrons were overheard thanking the group for sharing their music. On Friday, December 7, 2012 the Flat Rock Irregulars provided music for the people who attended Dona’s Community Christmas Dinner at the Harvest Christian fellowship Church. We alternated sets with Ray Mullen. We were honored to perform both Christmas songs and our traditional Irish music. We closed our performance with our audience participation rendition of “The Old Dunn Cow.” We had a great time and the food was wonderful. The Irregulars were mentioned in the story written by Andrew Bottrell in the NP Telegraph. You’ll spot some of the Irregulars at the dinner in this story from KNOP TV.
We had a great time playing for the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Golden Spike Tower. We thank the North Plate Alzheimer’s Association for inviting us to play. It was a beautiful day to be out making music.
The local Alzheimer’s organization raised some where over $10,000. Congratulations to all involved.
We get a break now for a while until our next gig. We have some new songs we will work on as we prepare for gigs in October and November.
Maggi sang at the Whistle Stop Market on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Her renditions of modern classics and show tunes entertained Whistle Stop shoppers. Thanks Maggi for sharing your talent and beautiful voice.
The Irregulars will be performing at the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 30, 2012. We will perform beginning at 1:00 pm. The walk takes place at the Golden Spike Tower and Visitor’s Center.
We enjoyed performing at Linden Court on Friday, September 28, 2012. We enjoy the opportunity to perform at Linden Court. Thanks for your support and hospitality.
We are beginning to plan the 2nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Since St. Patrick’s Day falls on Sunday in 2013 we are planning to hold the parade on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Stu performed at the Whistle Stop Market on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Participants at the Market enjoyed his performance. He sang a number of my favorites including, “Give Me as Stone.”
The Irregulars have a number of gigs schedule for September. It is going to be a busy month. Our next public performance will be at Rail Fest on Saturday, September 15, 2012 8:30 am. Come to Rail Fest for breakfast provided by NebraskaLand National Bank and music by the Irregulars. We enjoy being part of Rail Fest and we hope to see you there.
We enjoyed playing for the MPCC back to school picnic on Thursday, August 23rd. They had a great crowd at the Cody Park Pavilion. We noticed a number of people dancing. Picnickers took a break from their meal to sing along with the band on “Old Dun Cow”. We appreciate the audience participation. A good time was had by all including the band.
We played for MPCC as the result of one of the Gift Certificates we donated to the United Way auction. We are happy to support the United Way and appreciated the opportunity we had to share our music with the faculty and staff of MPCC.
We had a great time performing at the Whistle Stop Outdoor Market. We played many of our Irish favorites and a few Blue Grass tunes. Audience favorite seemed to be “The Old Dun Cow.” Thanks to all those who came out to the Garden Glove Garden Center for the Market.
